About Okanagan Hearing
We are a private Audiology and Hearing Aid clinic located in Kelowna, British Columbia. We pride ourselves in recommending the best hearing aid for your hearing loss and your budget. We also repair and service any and all makes of hearing aids. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our clients by providing a variety of products, and excellent service and hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards.
Okanagan Hearing Centre is a full-service audiology clinic and Dr. Balkwill is a highly trained and experienced audiologist that focuses on the needs of her clients. We focus on educating our patients about hearing and hearing loss, preventing hearing loss (i.e. noise protection), assessing hearing, fitting digital hearing aids, counseling, and managing their tinnitus. We are more than just a hearing aid store!
Hearing tests and evaluations are available for all clients and no doctor’s referral is needed. We are also pleased to be a service provider for Veteran Affairs of Canada (VAC), WorkSafe BC (WCB), and other government programs designed for people with hearing loss.
How We Make a Difference
We believe that our community in Kelowna deserves the best hearing health care and every day we strive to meet this standard. To that end, our clinic provides each of our clients with special services and programs we created to make a real difference.
We know how hearing loss can dramatically affect a person and their loved ones, including causing feelings of isolation and depression. We also know that it can be difficult for people to admit that they have hearing loss and seek help. That stigma against dealing with hearing loss needs to end, which is why we encourage everyone who comes through our doors to take the first steps in improving their hearing health.

Corrine Sawatsky, Client Care Coordinator
My first experience with hearing loss and hearing aids began when I worked as an office assistant at an independent hearing clinic in Calgary. The audiologists and hearing aid practitioners educated me on all things related to audiology, and I soon realized how much I enjoyed all aspects of the clinic. I worked there for 9 years before relocating to Kelowna in 2015 and began working at Okanagan Hearing.
I very much enjoy working with people – young or old – and strive to make everyone feel comfortable and important when they walk into the clinic. Being in a small clinic atmosphere allows me to get to know our clients on a more personal level and create a wonderful bond with them.
Each and every day I look forward to my interactions with our clients. I feel very blessed to work in such a positive environment where our client’s needs always come first. It is a great feeling at the end of each and every day to know that we are making a difference, and giving our clients all the tools to help improve their quality of life.
In response to the current COVID-19 virus situation, our clinics are temporarily suspending in office services until April 6, 2020.
Please call us at VISIT Covid-19 Update to arrange for support to address the needs you may have.
